Did you know that in 1990 the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles went on a concert tour (or at least guys dressed up to look like them did)? This is the soundtrack to that concert (which I found out was a promotional cassette from Pizza Hut), courtesy of Kids Music Fan from Boston.
NOTE: For some reason, Track 4 (Skipping Stones) is listed twice. I'll try to fix that in the next few days. Until then, just delete the extra one and you're all set!
Here's the track list:
- Coming Out of Their Shells
- Sing About It
- Tubin'
- Skipping Stones
- Pizza Power
- Walk Straight
- No Treaties
- Cowabunga
- April Ballad
- Count on Us

And here's a hilarious review of the "Making of the 'Coming Out of Their Shells' Tour" video from Matt at X-Entertainment!
Thanks alot. Brought back some great memories from my youth. I used to own two copies of their tour but over the years they disappeared. This is special. Thank You.
ReplyDeleteThat's just awesome. Thanks a lot for this. My cassette died when I was in my teens and I'm just geeky enough to want to hear this music now and then.
ReplyDeleteOMGosh! I can't believe I was able to get the songs on my Mac! I love you! This is great. I can remember way back when I went and saw the concert, bought the VHS and soundtrack...oh those were the days! My girls are sure going to enjoy this! I am such a dork but I can't help it TMNT were my favorite growing up! I am having flashbacks of the good ol' days and I am only 23! hahaha
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteDon't have access to a cassette deck anymore, and I can't seem to find this on a CD anywhere.
Thanks for bringing back a 27yo's childhood memories!
OMG! my parents took us to one of the concerts when i was young and we were on the first row....the sad thing is that this was my first concert LOL .....no really we had a great time and it is a fond memory of mine..thanks for the trip down memory lane
ReplyDeleteThanks! This was such a huge part of my childhood. I dragged my parents to Pizza Hut to buy the tape, and played it till it burned out. Thanks for making it available again! Here's a question I've wondered about for twenty years - who is actually playing this music? What band is it?? I could never find this info anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. This is one of my favorite music album. I appreciate your help. Bye
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot! I've been watching this on Youtube b/c I couldn't find a mp3 of this for the life of me! I'm giddy w/ excitement
ReplyDeleteawesome. My kid just found a box of all my old turtles action figures and has been hounding me to watch the movies (which I now can't find) all week. This should buy me some time to find the videos. Big thanks!
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow - thanks for uploading this stuff!! I loved this album as a kid.
ReplyDeleteAfter dropping out of a prestigious acting school, Michael Ian Black found himself playing Donatello on this tour! I think that probably shaped him into the great actor/comedian he is today! :D I couldn't find any proof of this fact on wikipedia, or the internet at all for that matter. But that's what he told me once.
ReplyDeleteMan, this is sweet! I have been looking all over the web for someplace that has these songs. iTunes didn't have it. I might be a dork for still liking this music, but at least I remember some of the best things that were made in the 80s.
ReplyDeletei still have mine.
ReplyDeletegot my friend to mp3 it back in 2010.
didn't know your bog existed.
i have concert VHS too.
keep up the good work!
