Hi! Here's a fun little Thanksgiving record from 1975 that I got at the Library's book sale. This has lots of traditional songs with the words changed to make them Thanksgiving related. ("It's Thanksgiving" to "O Susannah", "I'm a Poor Little Cranberry Bush" to "In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree", etc.) Yeah, it's pretty silly, but how many Thanksgiving kids records ARE there?? Hope you like it, and (if all goes well and the creeks don't rise) the Contest will begin either late tonight or tomorrow!
Here's the track list:
- It's Thanksgiving
- The Mayflower
- Old MacDonald Led the Band (on Thanksgiving Day)
- Thanksgiving's a Wonderful Thing
- A Turkey Tom and a Turkey Mom
- The Pilgrim Song
- All the Leaves Are Falling Down
- The Best Thanksgiving
- The Alburquerque Turkey
- School Is Out
- I'm a Poor Little Cranberry Bush
- Thanksgiving Football Game
- One Little Two Little Three Little Indians
- Turkey Dinner
- Yum-Dee Yum-Dee Yum! Yum! Yum!
- After the Fall Is Over
