Continuing with the squeaky voiced rodent theme, here's the Busy Beavers. I don't think I remember these guys. This record's OK, but you can tell by the song selection it was pretty low budget. The only somewhat creative bit is when they sing part of "Polly Wolly Doodle" in Pig Latin. ("What's Pig Latin?" "Aww, go ask your Mom!") This does have the adult figure leading them (like David Seville), but they seem too well-behaved to need it. Anyway, this one's still pretty fun. Next, I'll have an album from the guys who did it best. Meanwhile...
Here's the track list:
- Old MacDonald's Farm
- Polly Wolly Doodle
- Row Row Row Your Boat/Brother John/Three Blind Mice
- On Top of Old Smokey
- Pop Goes the Weasel
- Ten Little Indians
- Yankee Doodle/The Yellow Rose of Texas/She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
- Alouette
- Humoresque/Swanee River
- Home on the Range/Red River Valley/Whoopie Ti Yi Yo

Love all the squeaky animal records you're sharing. When I was a kid I had an album called "The Grasshoppers Sing the Beatles." which was GREAT! Very rare and hard to find. There's a challenge for you!

My 3 year old daughter is absolutely crazy for the Wally Woodchuck Christmas LP, so this should be right up her alley.
