Groovie Goolies Rarities (A Very Special Contribution)

This is a bit of a late Halloween gift to you guys, but hopefully I will be forgiven under the circumstances. Remember a few posts ago when I said I was in a good mood because I got back in touch with a friend of mine that I hadn't heard from in a while? Well, that friend happens to be Mondo Daddykin, late of the Mondo Daddykin blog (a huge inspiration for the blog you see here)! (By the way, he's doing fine. He's just happy to be away from blogging for a while. He said he might throw occasional projects together that he'll pass along to me. I've told him he's welcome to do a guest shot here whenever he wants.) He shared this with me personally and, with his kind permission, said I could pass it along to all of you.

These are the songs taken from the recent Groovie Goolies DVD collection pictured here. None of these were issued on LP, so this is the only way to get them for now. I listened to these myself, and now I want to get this DVD set even more! Hope you enjoy it!

Here's the track list:
  1. Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies TV Theme
  2. Goolie Get-Together TV Theme

Thanks so much for this and all your other posts. I second the sentiments about Mondo Daddykin. My Bubblegum collection owes a lot to his amazing ( albeit short-lived ) blog.
Please keep it up!

Awesome! I'm the one who posted to the old Daddykins blog about the "What's in the Bag" song... this is absolutely the song that's been stuck in my head for nearly three decades! Hooray! Thanks!

Thanks for posting these....but there WAS indeed an album by "The Groovie Goolies" back then. I've been blog-searching and no one seems to have the LP.

This blog page has a linked image of the magazine ad mat for the Goolies album:

You probably got the DVd already so you'll be interested in knowing that there was an actual album as someone else mentioned. Great fun stuff.

Thank you.

I've been looking for something with Be Kind To Monsters Week on it for years! It's always been my favourite from the Groovie Ghoulies!

hey guys,

just thought i would let you all know that each cartoon of the groovie goolies had two songs...
for example..if you are looking for the song kings and queens, it will be on the episode called ...darlin darlin...
these cartoons are fantastic and i remember them clearly from when i was a kid myself. even our children love them when we play them....
hope that is some useful info for you.
