The Chipmunks Sing with Children

This is the album I meant to put on here after the Busy Beavers album. I like the Chipmunks and have a number of their old albums, but I had not heard of this out-of-print one from 1965 until recently. It was an interesting experiment, mixing the sped-up voices of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore with a children's chorus (the Jimmy Joyce Singers), but it's a nice change. And you can tell that the budget allowed for a more up to date collection of songs used here as well. Hope you like it!

Here's the track list:
  1. Do-Re-Mi
  2. Rag Mop
  3. Me Too (Ho-Ho! Ha-Ha!)
  4. Mister Sandman
  5. Hello Dolly
  6. Puff the Magic Dragon
  7. Tonight You Belong to Me
  8. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
  9. Tea for Two
  10. Que Sera Sera
  11. Mississippi Mud
  12. Down by the Old Mill Stream

Man, do i love these Chipmunks and Chipmunk-esque shares!! I knew of the Nutty Squirrels but had no idea there were so many others! I definitely look forward to seeing more of these. You wouldn't happen to the album - Songs From Our TV Shows, or in particular the song "Captain Chipmunk", would you? John Waters used it in A Dirty Shame and it's been driving me crazy to find ever since because it sounds SO cool in the movie! Also do you know if the Chipmunks ever actually sang "Mr. Lonely" like sampled in Akon's song. The Flushed Away soundtrack actually had another squeaky-voiced version of it by The Slugs, but it was just an excerpt. Thank you so much for sharing these amazing albums. I really look forward to seeing more like this in the future!
