The Smurfs All Star Show

I wasn't sure I had this other Smurf album from 1981, but it turns out that I do! I think I bought it at a later date, because I didn't remember listening to this one. I don't like this one quite as much as "Smurfing Sing Song" because they use more traditional songs here. It's still pretty neat if you want to get your Smurf on though! Hope you like it!

Here's the track list:

  1. The Smurfs All Star Show
  2. Welcome to Smurfland
  3. Catch Me
  4. Old Papa Smurf
  5. Silly Shy Smurf
  6. Smurfing Land Express
  7. Smurf a Happy Tune
  8. The Clapping and Jumping Song
  9. Yankee Doodle
  10. London Bridge Is Falling Down
  11. Smurfing Days
  12. Space Smurfs
  13. Rock-A-Bye Baby

I used to have this record when I was a child and remember thinking of it as my own Sgt. Pepper's album...I don't know why, but I did...Anyhow, I've been combing thrift stores for this one, but no luck. I always will remember the Smurf's All Star Show.

The better version of this album was actually put out by K-Tel (shared the same title, but had other songs on it) and came with a groovy poster. I remember my next door neighbor had the version presented here and was jealous of my K-Tel LP. Rockin'!

I still have this album, and actually play it (and the Smurfing Sing Song Album) for my son! He's 2. They skip occasionally, as they were well loved by me....but they do still play on the record player!

Hi...

Thamks so much for bringing this album back from record and tape extinction... Sessions records NEEDS to bring this back as a apecial edition... This is better then the Chipmunk releases that were out the time....

Was only available for sale at Safeway Grocery Stores (at least in Maryland)- circa 1981.

Thank you so much!! I recently came across the song "Duele el amour" by Aleks Syntek and Ana Torroja and the tune seemed soo familiar. I was convinced I'd heard it as a child and snippets of the voice came back to me and I realised it was the smurf's smurfing song! I searched for it all morning and found it here! Thanks again!

Thanks so much for bringing back this album... I was 10 at the time this came out.. My mom said I was too old but I didn't care... This album brings back bittersweet memories of Childhood Expecially since my father died July 13, 2009. This LP takes me back to happier times and it keeps him ever close to me... Thanks again....
