Fonzie Fonzie He's Our Man - The Heyettes

Here's a crazy album from 1976 featuring a number of songs about Fonzie (the character from the show "Happy Days") and some other 50's type songs by a group of girls called the Heyettes. I was disappointed that they didn't have the song "Do the Fonzie" that was sung by Pinky Tuscadero (I believe) on the show. I kind of wonder if this was an authorized album. The guy doing the voice of Fonzie sounds nothing like Henry Winkler. The whole thing sounds kind of cheap and thrown together, but it's different! Enjoy!!

CORRECTION: Leather Tuscadero (played by Suzi Quatro) sang "Do the Fonzie", not Pinky. Thanks for setting me straight, Kabluie! :-D

Here's the track list:

  1. Fonzie for President
  2. Fonzie, Fonzie Won't You Please Be Mine (The Do-Wahh Song)
  3. Arnold's Theme
  4. The Fonz Song
  5. Really Rock 'N' Roll
  6. Sit on It
  7. Happy Days
  8. Cruisin' on a Saturday Night
  9. The Fonz Song (Instrumental)
  10. Do the Fonz
  11. Red Hot Honey

There was a Neil Diamond concert that was released on video where a bunch of celebrities were in attendance, and Diamond got them up on stage. Among them was Henry Winkler, who revealed that he couldn't sing -- though Diamond did coax him into singing "as the Fonz" (he didn't sound bad). My point is, even if it was authorized, Winkler probably wouldn't have wanted to participate. Thanks for the share -- and all the other great rarities!

Tony, thanks so much for posting this!

My father is Michael S. Fein - he wrote most of the songs on the album. My parents have a single copy of the album that is UNTOUCHABLE!

Your download is the first time I've heard these songs in years!

THANKS SO MUCH! :)

My husband is the one that wrote the lyric and music to this album, Michael Fein and it was many years ago. So glad to see people still like it.

This is awesome! Thank you for posting it! I actually still have my 45 of "The Fonz Song" from 1976. And I remember seeing that Neil Diamond concert mentioned by vinnierattolle. Henry Winkler was SO COOl as the Fonz.

Here's my best guess at the lyrics for The Fonz Song. A couple of the lines are hard for me to understand.

(Heyyyyy.)
Fonzie, Fonzie, he's our man.
If he can't do it, no one can.
(Hey girls come 'ere.)
Laaa, laaa, la, la, la.
Laaa, laaa, la, la, la.
(Heyyyyy.)
Laaa, laaa, la, la, la.
Laaa, laaa, la, la, la.
Who's cool, not a nerd?
Quit school without a word?
He's got the knack to attract any chick.
(Hey you! Come 'ere!)
Fonz! He's our man.
(Surrrrrrre.)
Fonz! Yes he can.
He's got the way and he knows what to say 'cause . . .
He's the Fonz!
(And that's cool.)
Laaa, laaa, la, la, la.
Laaa, laaa, la, la, la.
(Heyyyyy.)
Who knows how to peel out?
(The Fonz!)
Who's fights the best no doubt?
Who's got a D.A. that makes all the girls sway?
Fonz! He's your man.
Fonz! Yes he can.
He doesn't scare and you better beware cause . . .
He's the Fonz!
(Hey, hey, hey, hey . . .)
(The first girl on the back of my bike, gets me!)
(Heyyyyy.)
Who rarely gets upset?
(Never.)
Who never sits on it?
(The Fonz!)
Who's got a comb made of platinum and gold?
Fonz! He's your man.
Fonz! Yes he can.
Who's got the smile and that old kind of style?
(Heyyyyy.)
He's the Fonz!
Fonz! He's our man.
(Forever!)
Fonz! Yes he can.
He's got the way and he knows what to say 'cause . . .
He's the Fonz!
(Hey, sit on it will ya?)
Fonz! He's your man.
Fonz! Yes he can.
(Heyyyyy.)
He doesn't scare and you better beware cause . . .
(I'm a star!)
He's the Fonz!
(Hey.)
(Come on, get on.)
(Heyyyyy.)
