Danny Kaye Tells Six Stories from Faraway Places

(Sorry, I didn't realize my scheduled posts ran out!)

Here's Danny Kaye telling some fun stories, some of them in silly accents. Enjoy!

Here's the track list:

  1. The Farmer of Babbia (Ethiopia)
  2. The Big Oven (Russia)
  3. Master of All Masters (Scotland)
  4. The Most Remarkable Cat (Vietnam)
  5. Nail Broth (Sweden)
  6. The Tale of the Name of the Tree (Bantu)

I had this LP as a kid, and adored it, and I have been desperate to get a high quality rip of it since the days of Napster!

This LP ROCKS from stem to stern!

I have the album that preceded this one, DANNY KAYE TELLS STORIES FROM THE BROTHERS GRIMM, which was given to me among a pile of others that included the HAPPY TIME albums I mentioned previously, by a former neighbour of ours.

Is that the gatefold double LP? That one needs to be ripped and posted as well. Do you have the ability to do that? I sure don't.

My favorite track is "Master of All Masters." Reminds me of today's demands for "politically correct" speech!

I just found this and I am SO excited! I grew up listening to this...my parents still have the albums, but I am so happy to be able to have an mp3 file of it! Thanks!
