The first half of this album features songs from "Willy Wonka". They even include "Cheer Up Charlie", the song that most kids will skip. They've also changed some of the words on the Oompa-Loompa song. I'm not sure why since the original was perfectly fine. The second half has songs with sort of a candy theme. They run out of candy songs by the end, and put in things like "Cindy" (the one from the "Songs That Tickle Your Funny Bone" album) and yet another version of "Big Rock Candy Mountain" (that doesn't mention cigarette trees, but does mention "al-kee-hol')
If I get the stuff written up soon enough, I'll have another two or three albums for next week. Enjoy!
Here's the track list:
- Oompa-Loompa-Doompadee-Doo
- The Candy Man
- I've Got a Golden Ticket
- Pure Imagination
- Cheer Up Charlie
- I Want It Now
- Big Rock Candy Mountain
- Candy Store Owner
- You Turn for Sugar and Tea
- Raisins and Almonds
- Strawberry Jam
- Cindy
- Pat-a-Cake, Pat-a-Cake

thank you, please keep up posting
Woot! I still have this record myself. :D
What a cool record...Interesting how the extra space is filled once the songs from the story run out.
It's nice to hear the variations on the Wonka tunes.
Thanks much.

Not THE CANDY MAN AND OTHER SWEET SONGS, but nice anyway. I enjoyed the renditions of the Oompa Loompa's song and "I've Got a Golden Ticket," but I was wondering if "I Want It All" was in the movie - I don't remember it at all. I especially liked this new version of "Candy Man."
"I Want It All" was the song that Veruca Salt sang, talking about what a spoiled brat she was. After she finished, she stood on top of the machine where she was classified as a "Bad Egg".
