This is kind of an odd one from the Peter Pan Children's Chorus. Here's how the record is introduced on the back cover: "The mood of history can be captured in its music -- Travel with us through our country's past in song and melody, introduced by 'American Pie', Don McClean's view of a bygone pop music era." The rest of the album follows a woman telling the story of America's history from Jamestown to the space program, accompanied by kids playing all the other parts and singing the other songs with her. It's no "America Rock", but it's fun to listen to anyway! The file includes the front and back covers. The back cover has a maze on it. The previous owner only got from Jamestown to the Boston Tea Party before he or she got bored with it, fell asleep, or possibly died.

Todays random request. Let me start by saying that I've up been looking for some of the stuff you have here forever so thank you so much.
The request part is for a specific song - Smurf Baby - you have the album but for some reason that track is low and cracked, any chance to get a better quality version of it (just that one song). It's for my wife, she used to have this album (along with the Bee Gees keyboard which I actually did find- score!) but she's told me about this song and that's what brings me to you. Thanks for the music and the memories.
Thank you for posting this! I remembered bits and pieces of these songs when my third-grade class sang them at an assembly back in the 70s, but I never thought I'd ever hear the whole songs again. Too cool!

Oh, thank you so much for sharing this record! For some reason I've been thinking of the musical Our Country Tis of Thee, but could not find a collection of the lyrics anywhere on the internet. I never dreamed I would be able to actually hear the songs!
I sang this production in the 4th grade in 1976 through my chorus in school in OKC. I have never forgotten the lyrics or tunes throughout my life and can still sing the entire album by heart! I wondered if I could locate this mmusic again!
I did the "Our Country 'Tis of Thee" musical as a third grader at Green Acres Elementary School in Fairfax, VA back in 1977/78 or so. It was a scandal b/c parents thought we should have been spending more time on traditional things. I actually used my memory of the song lyrics on tests over the years. Not every song on the album is from that musical. What a strange collection. How cool to hear a recording.
This was a favorite of mine when i was a little boy and now i find myself singing the songs to my kids. My wife always thought i was making it up. Now I can prove other wise.
